Sports Twill / Applique

Sports Twill

Appliqué

• What it is: A decorative technique where fabric pieces (often sports twill) are sewn onto another fabric (like the jersey).

• How it works: The team name, logo, or number is cut out of twill and then stitched or heat-pressed onto the uniform.

• Types of stitching: Can be zig-zag, satin stitch, or tackle twill stitching (a popular choice for sports jerseys).
