Characteristics
The Stahls' Set of 3 Garment Platens expands the versatility of compatible Hotronix® heat presses by providing three useful lower-platen sizes for decorating garments and accessories that do not fit ideally on a standard full-size platen. The set includes a 7" round platen, 6" x 10" platen, and 8" x 10" platen.
Each platen features a Quick Change design, allowing decorators to select a pressing surface that better matches the size and shape of the item being decorated. Using a smaller platen can also help position seams, buttons, zippers, collars, and other garment obstructions outside the primary pressing area for more consistent pressure.
The 7" round platen is ideal for gym bags and other items that benefit from a compact round printing surface. The 6" x 10" platen is designed for youth garments and other smaller items, while the 8" x 10" platen provides a compact rectangular surface for applications requiring less printing area than a standard garment platen.
All three platens feature durable aluminum base construction with 3/8" silicone padding, providing a dependable pressing surface for professional heat printing. Together, the three platen sizes give apparel decorators greater flexibility when working with different garment sizes, bags, accessories, and specialty applications.

- Choose the platen that most closely matches the size and shape of the decoration area.
- Use the 7" round platen for gym bags and other products where a round pressing surface improves loading and positioning.
- Use the 6" x 10" platen for youth apparel and smaller garments where a standard platen may be too large.
- Use the 8" x 10" platen for compact rectangular designs and accessories requiring a smaller pressing area.
- Thread garments onto the platen whenever possible so only the layer being decorated is positioned on the pressing surface.
- Position thick seams, buttons, zippers, collars, and other obstructions outside the platen whenever possible to promote even pressure.
- Readjust heat press pressure when changing between significantly different platen sizes.
- Always follow the recommended time, temperature, pressure, and peel instructions supplied by the transfer-material manufacturer.
- Test unfamiliar garments, accessories, and transfer materials before beginning a full production run.
