• Aquarius™ Digital White: Mix approximately 80% Digital White with 20% Digital Matte Clear to create the receiving layer for the digitally printed image.
• Aquarius™ Migration Stop: May be used as the first-down layer on polyester or other fabrics susceptible to dye migration before applying Aquarius™ Digital White.

Always test the complete ink combination with the intended garment, digital ink, flash settings, and curing conditions before beginning production.

• Thoroughly mix Aquarius™ Digital Matte Clear before printing.
• For digital hybrid production, screen print Aquarius™ Digital White as the initial white layer.
• Before applying the digital image, prepare a receiving layer using approximately 80% Aquarius™ Digital White and 20% Aquarius™ Digital Matte Clear.
• Print the 80/20 receiving mixture through approximately 160–195 threads/in (64–77 threads/cm) mesh.
• Apply the digital image over the prepared receiving layer according to the digital hybrid production process.
• After the digital image has been applied, Digital Matte Clear may be printed as an optional final protective layer.
• Print the final Digital Matte Clear layer through approximately 230–280 threads/in (90–110 threads/cm) mesh.
• Maintain screen tension between approximately 18–35 N/cm.
• Use a 60/90/60 durometer sharp, square-profile squeegee.
• Maintain a squeegee angle of approximately 10–15°.
• Use approximately 1 print stroke at medium speed.
• Maintain approximately 1/16 in. (2 mm) off contact.
• Use a water-resistant emulsion with approximately 15–20% emulsion over mesh.
• Flash approximately 2–4 seconds at 200–230°F (93–110°C).
• For polyester or other dye-migration-prone fabrics, consider Aquarius™ Migration Stop as the first-down layer before Digital White.
• Keep platens cool during production to help minimize premature ink drying.
• Clean the stencil and image area during extended press stops to help prevent screen blockage.
• Always test the complete ink, garment, digital ink, flash, and cure combination before beginning a production run.

Aquarius™ Water-Based Digital Matte Clear is designed specifically for use within the Zodiac™ Aquarius™ Digital Hybrid Ink System. Its function can vary depending on where it is used within the digital hybrid printing sequence.

For the digital ink receiving layer, mix approximately 80% Aquarius™ Digital White with 20% Aquarius™ Digital Matte Clear. This mixture should be printed before the digital image to provide a receptive surface for the digital ink.

After the digital image has been applied, Digital Matte Clear may be printed as an optional final protective layer. This layer helps seal and protect the digital ink while maintaining a matte appearance and flexible finished hand.

The recommended mesh differs according to application. Use approximately 160–195 threads/in for the 80/20 Digital White / Digital Matte Clear receiving layer and approximately 230–280 threads/in when printing Digital Matte Clear as the final protective layer.

For fabrics susceptible to dye migration, including certain polyester garments, Aquarius™ Migration Stop may be used as the first-down layer before Aquarius™ Digital White.

Referenced curing conditions are approximately 330°F (165°C) for 120 seconds on cotton and 305°F (151°C) for 120 seconds on polyester. Actual curing performance depends on the dryer, ink deposit, garment, digital ink system, and production conditions.

Always verify proper cure and test the complete print system for adhesion, flexibility, color reproduction, dye migration, colorfastness, and wash durability before beginning a full production run.
