Rhinotech RMC 4 RhinoMite Catalyst - 2oz
Professional two-part adhesive catalyst formulated for use with Rhinotech RhinoMite screen frame adhesives, providing proper curing, high bond strength, and dependable mesh-to-frame adhesion.
Characteristics
Rhinotech RMC-4 RhinoMite Catalyst – 2 oz. is the catalyst component used with compatible RhinoMite two-part screen frame adhesive systems. When mixed with RhinoMite adhesive at the specified ratio, RMC-4 initiates the curing process required to develop a strong, durable bond between screen printing mesh and the frame.
Designed for professional screen stretching and screen-making applications, the RMC-4 Catalyst supports the high tensile strength, impact resistance, and solvent resistance of the RhinoMite adhesive system. This makes it well suited for screens that must withstand demanding printing, cleaning, and reclaiming environments.
RMC-4 is mixed with compatible RhinoMite adhesive at approximately 1.5% catalyst by weight. Rhinotech specifies approximately 64 grams of catalyst per gallon of RhinoMite adhesive and 20 grams per quart.
The 2 oz. package is the catalyst size supplied with gallon-size RhinoMite adhesive systems. Once properly catalyzed, RhinoMite adhesive dries rapidly, generally in approximately 8–15 minutes, while the bond continues curing after the screen is removed from the stretching equipment.
RMC-4 is an aromatic isocyanate catalyst and requires appropriate handling and personal protective equipment. Users should review and follow the current Safety Data Sheet before handling or mixing the product.

- 2 oz. size is appropriate for gallon-size RhinoMite adhesive kits
- Compatible with RhinoMite adhesive systems including RMA 3300 and RMA 3500 according to current Rhinotech documentation
- Measure the catalyst carefully; correct proportions are important for dependable curing and bond performance.
- Thoroughly mix RMC-4 into the RhinoMite adhesive before applying the adhesive to the screen frame.
- Use approximately 64 grams of RMC-4 per gallon of compatible RhinoMite adhesive.
- For quart quantities, use approximately 20 grams of RMC-4 per quart of compatible adhesive.
- The recommended catalyst concentration is approximately 1.5% by weight.
- Mix only the quantity of adhesive needed for production because adding RMC-4 begins the curing process.
- Keep catalyzed adhesive in a tightly sealed container when not in use to help maximize its usable working life.
- Make sure frames are properly cleaned and prepared before bonding mesh.
- For aluminum frames, Rhinotech recommends priming the frame with adhesive and allowing it to dry before stretching and bonding the mesh.
- Allow the adhesive sufficient time to dry before removing the screen from the stretching system.
- Temperature, humidity, and adhesive thickness can affect drying time.
- Review the current RMC-4 Safety Data Sheet before use.
- RMC-4 is an aromatic isocyanate catalyst and requires appropriate handling precautions.
- Avoid breathing vapors, mist, or spray.
- Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes.
- Use appropriate protective gloves, eye protection, and other PPE specified by the current Safety Data Sheet.
- Use only with adequate ventilation and appropriate workplace controls.
- The product carries inhalation, respiratory sensitization, skin, and eye hazards.
